The Early Days
That’s not Gigi — Bella was a born-with-it-blonde, too! She started dyeing her hair brown at an early age to distinguish herself from her sister. Models and their sibling rivalries — they’re just like us!
Posing with her mom and stepdad on her 14th birthday, Bella accessorized her long brown locks with bronzed makeup and dark lined eyes — making way for a new kind of California girl.

By 2014, Bella had already mastered the no-makeup makeup look like a pro. Slightly rosy cheeks and lips keep her from looking washed out, while side-parted hair softens the look — not to mention, helped her show off that awesome ear chain.

Bella’s always been into edgy looks, but after her 2014 fashion week debut, she took it to a whole new level. Here, attending a party in between shows, she showed off her newfound boldness with sleek middle-parted hair and dark purple lipstick.

Bella has always challenged the idea of traditional red carpet makeup. No mascara? No problem.

Her glowing skin is one of her best assets — so why cover it up with makeup? 18-year-old Bella went for groomed eyebrows and glossy lips instead.

As her modeling career amped up in late 2014, Bella’s makeup went full-on superstar. Here, at a party in Miami, Bella showed off the perfect cat eye, subtle contouring, and glistening skin.

For the 2015 Met Gala, the model went for the glam. With a super-tight top knot, bronze eyes and cheeks, and mega-long lashes, Bella turned heads and had everyone asking, ',Who’s that girl?!',

A dark, moody eye is always a bit of a beauty risk, but with glossy, curled under hair and minimal makeup everywhere else, Bella carefully toed the line between gothic and girly.
As she gets older, Bella’s look became more and more refined. She stunned at the CFDA Awards with curled lashes, the perfect taupe lip color, and a sleek, half-up hairstyle. Can you spot a hair out of place? Us neither.

It was at the 2015 Tony Awards where Bella really shined. Just look at the way her shimmering eyes and lips reflected those incredible diamond earrings!

She may favor a middle part and bronze cheeks for the red carpet, but it’s on the runway where Bella showed how versatile she can be, from looking super fierce walking in the Giles spring 2016 show with braided hair, black-lined eyes, and matte cherry red lips...

Even with the simplest makeup, Bella managed to turn heads. Hey, sometimes, less really is more!

Bella is the best at pulling off sleek, slicked-back hair. We love this soft, side parted version she sported in Paris earlier this year.
The model went for a more high fashion look for the Elle Style Awards, with highlighter on her nose and cheeks, a matte berry lip, and a severe middle part.
Bella let her hair down — literally — for a party in Hollywood, with simple makeup that showed off her cool beaded collar.

We barely even noticed the diamonds on Bella’s neck — her bronzed cheeks and pretty brows were attention-stealing enough!
Though it’s a far cry from her go-to pony, this beehive updo with fringe was one of Bella’s best looks yet.
From retro beehives to blown-out ‘dos, Bella can truly pull off anything.

It sure didn’t take long for Bella to gain her angel wings. The mega-model wowed on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway with the signature VS high-shine bombshell waves and clean, fresh makeup.

After years of rocking long swingy layers, Bella made the big chop and debuted it at the 2017 Met Gala, cutting her hair into a sophisticated, blunt style that perfectly suited her face shape.
Bella quickly learned how to manipulate her short new length, styling it in big, undone barrel curls at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival (AKA the most glam week ever). She completed her look with an inky black feline flick.
Bella slayed look after look at the Cannes Film Festival, appearing a few days later with significantly longer — and straighter — strands that she secured in a slick, tight pony. Her makeup was equally as eye-catching: By tightlining the inner corner of her eyes, and ending with a defined wing, she made her eyes the focal point of her look (though we also couldn’t stop staring at her bright cherry-red lip).
Bella gave off goddess vibes with an intricately twisted topknot and a bronze, otherworldly glow.
Bella’s pulled out all the stops for this one: Chunky bangs infused with a silky sheen and minimal makeup. We hardly recognized her!
As a face of Dior Beauty, it’s not exactly shocking that Bella’s makeup always looks flawless. Here, she proved she’s a beauty pro with a diffused red lip, defined lashes, and that highlight.
You don’t have to pick up scissors to rock side bangs — just take a cue from Bella, who swept her layers sideways, tucking them behind her ears to fake the illusion of fringe.
Bella went even shorter for the summer, keeping cool by adding layers and caramel highlights to her formerly blunt lob.
