When we look for makeup, we often base our decisions on the quality of the makeup. On the other end, some products are made exclusively based off packaging. There are those adorable, beautiful packaging designs that just scream “,buy me!”,. Not convinced? Check our list of 5 products worth buying because of packaging alone! Gorgeous makeup and beauty.
1. Les Merveilleuses Ladurée
[quote_box_left] The legendary patisserie / salon de thé founded in Paris, 1862, enchanting women all over the world with its “edible jewelry”. Ladurée has to this day continued to create not only innovative sweets but also a new culture as one of the greatest patisseries in Paris.
Ladurée has been representing the French “art de vivre” based on the philosophy, “what is really beautiful can intrinsically enchant women by exciting their five senses in an overwhelming manner.” The cosmetics developed under the name of Ladurée therefore also symbolize the essence of the French history and esprit. This makeup collection by Les-Merveilleuses LADUREE is my personal favorite because it’,s simply too adorable. What looks like rose petals inside an egg shaped canister is actually a powdered blush. The whole collection is pastel, unique and colorful. They base their packaging off of 18th century French couture, and include ingredients such as rose, and lavenders. Their face and eye color is also something worth mentioning, seeing as it’,s in the shapes of starfish and seashells.
Unfortunately for those on the western continents, Les Merveilleuses Laduree stores are only available in Japan, Tapei, and Paris.
2. Anna Sui
[quote_box_left] Anna Sui’,s collections take you on a creative journey that is unparalleled in the world of fashion. Mixing vintage styles with her current cultural obsessions, she effortlessly makes hip and exuberant original clothes. Whether Anna’,s inspiration is Victorian cowboys, Warhol superstars or Finnish textile prints, her depth of cultural knowledge is always apparent. [/quote_box_left]
Anna Sui is a fairly common name in the makeup realm. We like to call her style rather gothic, bold, and “, dolly “,. Her makeup packaging is our #2 because it resonates her style, A look at some of her lipsticks and powders will let you know it’,s Anna Sui. She’,s classic for her floral patterns, rich colors, purples, and butterfly shapes.
Gorgeous makeup and beauty sunshine coast
What we most admire about her is that her style is girly, but isn’,t pink and girly as some of these other cosmetics.
[quote_box_left] Surprising. Filling with wonder. Inspiring emotion. Guerlain is entirely devoted to original creation, daring and the quest for beauty.
Since 1828, the Guerlains have been passionate about art and rubbed shoulders with the most avant-garde artists of their age. A culture of the beautiful that forevermore distinguishes their vision of the profession. For them, each fragrance, make-up and skincare product is an opportunity to express an emotion and create a sense of pleasure and desire that transcend mere need and function first and foremost.
What we see at Guerlain is a lot of cool, girly, and chiq products. They began as a perfume house in the 1800s and as evolved to include makeup, and skincare. They are serious about their packaging, with their well known one-of-a-kind lipstick Rouge G which doubles up as a mirror inside. They are pretty well known for the quality of their products as well —, their bronzing powder being one of the most coveted products they have.
We love their style because it’,s feminine but not too girly, and they have plenty of styles that are suitable for every one.
4. Etude House
[quote_box_left] With a lovely interior, Etude House resembles a perfect doll house like a princess’,s private chamber full of ornate trinkets and treasured items that all girls dream of. Come and find your inner princess at Etude House by partaking in makeup play and exploring a new world of beauty.
Etude House is a South Korean brand that has been hitting the North American market by storm because of how cute the products are. They have a special Princess Etoinette collection that features a cute princess-y pink powder in a pink container. Their nail polishes are in the shape of ice cream cones!
Unfortunately, they are only found in Asia at the moment.
5. The Balm
[quote_box_left] theBalm cosmetics boasts a complete line of makeup, skin care, hair care and nail polish. With a “,beauty in five minutes”, philosophy, theBalm’,s multi-use, mega fabulous products have become its calling card, offering quick fixes and wondrous solutions for a wide range of beauty wants and needs.
TheBalm is a fairly new cosmetics brand that has been available in drug stores. They are most well known for their Nude’,tude eyeshadow because of its gorgeous neutrals. Their packaging is very catchy and works with a lot of witty play-on words, such as How About Them Apples? and Powder To The People!. All in all, their packaging is very clever.

Gorgeous makeup and beauty
Tarte is a popular choice for those that have sensitive skin. Their motto is to create eco-friendly, naturally-based products that are irresistibly cute. We love the colors they use and their girly floral patterns. It’,s really hard to not want to try out their cheek stains which are in twistable containers.
[quote_box_left] Putting the glam back in glamour, Too Faced combines the beauty of Hollywood past with the modernism of what women want today. Luxurious textures, trendsetting colors, remarkable product innovations (hello Lip Injection), and lots of shimmer, it’,s no wonder this brand is coveted by celebrities and makeup addicts alike. So pucker up and let the primping begin because Too Faced brings out the glamour girl in all of us.
Everyone has probably heard of Too Faced, which is available in all Sephora stores. They were created only 15 years ago by two guys who wanted to create a new palette for each face. Their chocolate bar and Jingle All the Way iphone case eyeshadow palettes seem like they were made for their packaging! We really love the idea that you can pop out the palette and use the back as a genuine iphone 5 case!
