There's no question, Kate Hudson 's got her plate full. Between Kung Fu Panda 3 coming out this January (Kate plays the voice of a divalicious panda) and her Fabletics line full of trendy activewear, Kate's constantly on the move. On top of all that, she's now taking on the spirits world by storm being the spokes lady and official calendar gal for the Campari Bittersweet Campaign. When she wasn't sipping on Negronis (that is, one part Campari, one part sweet vermouth, one part gin), she was posing for these sexy pics in stunning red gowns: Black beauty makeup tips.
Yet despite her crazy-hectic schedule, she still manages to take care of her appearance and makes it look easy&mdash, even though we all know the truth. Here's how she does it:
On the favorite parts of her beauty routine...While most celebs drop thousands on glam squads come awards season, Kate is more of a do-my-own-makeup kind of gal. There's no doubt she's definitely enjoyed the celeb treatment before, but when she's not being attacked with hair spray or having an artist contour her face Kardashian-style, Kate likes to keep it simple with a little moisturizer and mascara to play up her green eyes. "I always clean my face, put a moisturizer on right away and let it soak before doing anything else...I'm always trying to take care of my skin, I really think staying hydrated is everything," she says. When it comes to her eyes, she really loves making them pop with some thick swipes of black mascara. "I really, really like to layer on the lashes, it makes it look very full around the eye."
And, of course, we can't forget about the occasional hair-dryer-80s-singing sessions:

On the painful beauty trick that Paul Newman taught her as a young actress...Here's one we've never really heard of before: If Kate's feeling a little under-the-weather, or if her skin looks tired, she goes back to what Paul Newman taught her. "I think it was Paul Newman who said to stick your head in an ice bath. I thought, 'that's such a great idea' and I did it and it works. To wake myself up or make my skin less dull I'll dunk my head in a bowl of ice...it's like taking a cold plunge with your face," she says. "Actually, I should probably do that later on today, haha." Be right back, currently throwing my hair in a bun and filling up a bowl of cubes...
On the importance of eating two key foods for glowing skin...Even though Kate insists that she doesn't have any insane beauty habits that keep her looking so mid-twenties-esque, she does say that eating two things definitely help her face stay moisturized&mdash, that is, when she's not indulging on a "real-serious double, double burger, fries, and Coke." The first? "I would say avocados are great for keeping your skin looking healthy." This totally makes sense, given the fact that avocados are loaded with carotenoids, vitamin E, and vitamin C, all of which help create collagen&mdash, the protein that keeps your skin firm. The second? "Any kind of omega oil is also really good." Lucky for us, omega-3 is relatively easy to come by via the usual suspects: salmon, tuna, etc. Of course, if fish isn't your thing, there are plenty of supplements on the market, too (ehem, assuming you talk with your doctor before you start taking them on the reg). Welp, we know what two things will be on the dinner menu tonight.
On what she does when she's not getting glammed-up...She's basically us, making sure that she's getting in her much-needed girls' nights, trying to find time to catch up on some z's, giving it all on whatever project she's conquering, and soaking up every moment with 4-year-old Bingham Hawn Bellamy and 11-year-old Ryder Robinson. Kate doesn't really have a set system for how she balances her night life with her family time, but one thing is for sure: Without Goldie Hawn and big bro Oliver, her nightlife might suffer...well, maybe. When she actually finds the time to put on her little black dress and grab a few cocktails with friends, her 'rents are usually the people she turns to for a helping hand."If the kids are in school, I can have my own time or I'll have my mom and dad watch the kids or come hang if they're not out of town while I go out with my with my brother Oliver," she says. "I'm very lucky to have help from them and a support system, so I can have those nights."
So there you have it. Don't know about you, but I'll most definitely be swinging by the store for a bag of ice and a couple cans of sardines on the way home from the office...
