Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a new line of prestige color cosmetics currently in development, to be unveiled in the Fall of 2017. True to the off-the-charts appeal of its founder, the makeup brand is slated to reach a diverse global audience with its comprehensive lineup that Rihanna herself—no stranger to beauty—is creating with Kendo through a close partnership.
The Fenty Beauty Global Makeup Artist will serve as the lead brand make-up artist representing Fenty Beauty in all artistry related activities, including elevated training programs, marketing &, press events, as well as on-set make-up for editorial and branded content. This role is education focused, contributing to the development of global education content and leading hands-on artistry training for the brand globally. The global make-up artist will need to be comfortable working on set and taking the lead in designing brand looks to be used in campaign images, video, ads, and other branded materials. This role involves collaborating effectively with Product Development, Marketing, Creative, field leaders and Education to ensure alignment and excellence in execution with all external partners.
Represent the brand in a variety of global events from high-level press presentations to in-store personal appearances, Sephora training events, and master classes
Act as brand representative in a variety of marketing activities including press interviews
The beauty department vegan makeup
Train and inspire brand field representatives (both internal &, external)
Work directly with clients in high-level global events
Develop brand artistry point of view to be used in all aspects of brand content, education materials, tips/techniques, videos, and other digital content
Support program development in the creation and execution of Fenty Beauty trainings and presentations
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of beauty products and trends
Assist in validation of product concepts, formulations, shades, and seasonal trends
Create application techniques for each product including new product launches, continuing to look for innovation in artistry technique
Ability to lead, motivate, and drive an artistry team of 4-5 people.
Assist in the hiring and building of a new global brand artistry team.
Create an inspiring team environment.
Suggested 10+ years of professional experience as a working make-up artist. Brand artistry experience is a plus.
Superior makeup artistry skills and ability to translate to media, in-store sales associates, and clients
Proven experience working on set, able to develop elevated editorial looks and apply for on camera wear
Strong presentation skills, ability to clearly speak to products and application technique
Ability to train in a variety of situations, high profile large audiences as well as more intimate smaller groups
Strong interpersonal skills, able to connect and inspire others
Passion and love for beauty products and artistry
Ability to work well and build relationships with all partners

Model respect, initiative, enthusiasm, and flexibility at all times, represent Kendo and the brand in a professional and ethical manner at all times, following all Kendo, Sephora, and brand guidelines
Flexible with work schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends
Travel up to 80% (average of 3 weeks each month), including international
Basic computer skills essential – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
