NEW* 10 Beauty Bloggers Dish Their Top Products - Meg Biram

Having just gotten into beauty products within the past few years (when you get into your late 20s early 30s skin is just not. the. same. as it used it be) so I’m always asking my friends about beauty products and I binge read beauty blogs for answers to my skin/makeup/hair questions. To share all of this beauty knowledge with you I’m kicking off a new column where I’ll be asking the beauty experts — 10 beauty bloggers obsessed with beauty on a level I can’t even touch — a question each month. Um, you’re welcome. Makeup beauty blogs.

Recently I wrote a post on 6 beauty products I use during the winter, but I was curious if there were more out there I didn’t know about. Even in the past month I’ve added a few more to me could-not-live-without-during-the-winter list (this Kari Gran lip whip ), so I wanted to know — what can these beauty-obsessed ladies not live without during the winter?

Beauty Question No.1 — What 3 beauty products can you not live without during the winter and why?

Yonka Paris Masque No. 1 — Without this leave-on moisturize mask my skin would be sad all season. I use it weekly and all is right with the world again.

Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo — I get extra lazy in the winter when it’s too cold in Minneapolis to get out of bed. Dry shampoo buys me an extra 20 minutes under the covers. This one doesn’t just sop up oil, it gives me bigger hair (bonus!).

Aveda Hand Relief — I should probably own stock in this stuff, I’ve kept a tube at every desk and in every bag since college. Nothing works as well without being greasy, and the light citrus scent has never become cloying.

Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Vitamin C Serum — I created this naturally brightening face oil with One Love Organics and can’t imagine life without it, let alone the winter, for giving my skin all-day moisture and a dewy sheen.

Maybelline BB Cream — I didn’t think it was possible, but I love the way this BB cream sits on my skin even more during the dryer months than the warmer months. It contains skincare properties to tackle blemishes and discoloration, while still giving your skin a natural glowing finish.

T3 ‘Veloce’ Dryer — During the warmer months I let my hair air-dry, but in the winter I like to use a hair dryer. I just about cried when my previous T3 expired on me (it was an old hand-me-down so don’t worry, it died of natural causes) but I swear by this lightweight Tourmaline dryer that leaves me with smooth locks. This is a great less expensive option if you don’t want to shell out $200-$300 on one of their more expensive hair dryers.

Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner — I keep different lip balms for different locations but I always keep this Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner in my handbag. It’s like BB cream for your lips — it’s equal parts lightweight and moisturizing, and it gives lips a pretty rose tinted glow.

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish — Usually second day blowouts for me fall flat, but ever since I bought this translucent dry spray, my roots have experienced a major lift. It also adds some extra grit when I’m styling with a curling iron. This is like my equivalent of salt spray for winter.

Aurelia Cell Revitalize Day Moisturizer I typically skip a daytime moisturizer during the summer, but my skin practically drinks this cushy, luxe day cream up come winter. It’s unbelievably hydrating, yet still leaves a matte finish. Perfection in my book.

Balanced Guru No Frizz Hair Oil I typically shy away from hair oils, finding that they leave my fine hair greasy and flat, but I have found a keeper in Balanced Guru. It tames static, hydrates dry ends, and eliminates frizz. Like I said, it’s a keeper.

DeMamiel Restorative Cleansing Balm Winter can leave my skin feeling itchy and dry so by the end of the day I can’t wait to dive into a luxurious cleansing balm. This particular iteration combines exotic oils with manuka honey and probiotics (which might explain why I’m already on my third jar!).

Pollen & Wax Velvet Facial Repair Crème A good night cream is an ultimate must-have for me and this one is my absolute favorite. It is rich, thick, and has the texture of marshmallow fluff! Most importantly, I wake up to soft, smooth, and glowing skin.

Coconut Oil + Lemon in Warm WaterNot exactly a beauty product, this supercharged elixir will leave you glowing from the inside out. Simply dissolve a teaspoon to a tablespoon of coconut oil in warm water and add a squeeze of lemon – now drink up! Healthy fats like coconut oil are vital for keeping your skin hydrated and happy.

Aquaphor Healing Ointment Tube — If you have dry lips, Aquaphor will be your best friend. Take it from a makeup artist who has worked with some of my driest chapped lips.

AMOREPACIFIC Moisture Bound Skin Energy Hydration Delivery System — I’m all about hydrating and rehydrating my skin in the winter and face mists have a dual purpose of setting my makeup as well as adding hydration.

Yves Saint Laurent ‘Rouge Pur Couture – Vernis a Levres’ Glossy Stain — I usually wear a lot of dark colors in the winter so I love how a red lip can brighten my face while adding color to my look. I’m a huge fan of YSL’s Glossy Stain in 09 Rouge Laque.

NARS Na Pali Coast Multiple – Bronzer season is 365 days in my book, and maybe most important in the winter months. NARS created the perfect rosy peach bronze blush to give our skin life. Bonus: you can use it on eyes and lips, too!

Osmia Organics Linden Rose Hand Cream – This smells faintly of honey and rose petals and leaves hands soft and not one bit greasy. It contains one of the most precious essential oils – Bulgarian rose otto, which takes 5,000 rose petal to get a single drop!

LAQA & Co. Fat Lip Pencil – A bright lip always perks up my day and is easier to wear in the winter since my eyes water very easily when I’m outside. This formula never dries out my skin and they nail every color. I love the reds and pinks!

CV Skinlabs Restorative Skin Balm – You can use this for everything (and I do!) – lip balm, cuticle softener, to heal cuts, minimize the look of scars, treat eczema and even mix with mineral blush to make a custom dewy cream blush.
