This look is perfect for any beauty lover who is looking to make a statement without breaking the bank! Beauty blog makeup.

To get this contoured eye effect we used 3 different eye shadows.

Using the lightest color, highlight the eye by sweeping Palladio Herbal Baked Eye Shadow Trio Pink Bliss upward toward the brow (without going as high as the brow).

To create a contoured look, lightly press your eyeshadow brush to Femme Couture Mineral Effects Baked Eye Shadow in Black Cloud and tap off any excess before applying. Sweep your brush along the crease of your eyelid, starting from the outer corner of the eye to the middle. (Pro Tip: Blend the eyeshadow in the crease of the eye using Face Secrets Duo Shadow Brush ).

To give your eyes a little sparkle, gently glide Femme Couture Moon Glow Shimmer Stick in Toasted Glow back and forth underneath the bottom lid near the lash line.

No look is complete without a fabulous set of lashes. For this look we used a set of the Ardell Baby Wispies in Black. Lightweight and reusable, these lashes are permanently curled, waterproof, comfortable to wear and easy to apply.

To create that beautiful glow, lightly sweep Palladio Herbal Mosaics in Desert Rose along the apple of your cheek blending into the cheekbone.

Fall can take a toll on our lips, so we recommend trying a lipstick that not only gives you a fabulous shade but also hydrates. To get that rich, luxurious pigment apply Palladio Dreamy Mattes Herbal LipColor in Royal Rum. This full coverage formula is full of moisture and contains properties to help keep the color in place for hours without drying the lips. Green tea, chamomile, ginseng, ginkgo biloba, aloe vera and Vitamin E help improve the lip surface and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

We love the 60s vibe this look is rocking. Smoky eyes + pale pink frosted lips = yes please!

Since we focused more on the eyes and lips, we kept the foundation light by using Femme Couture Get Corrected CC Tinted Moisturizer. It evens out any imperfections and keeps skin looking dewy and airy.

It’s simple to pull off a look that only appears complicated with the right palette. To get this dramatic eye we used the Real Colors Everlasting Eye Shadow Palette in Smokey.

Start with a base of the lighter gray shade (bottom left corner). Since the lips are glossy and frosty, try to avoid using any glitter shadows to balance it out.

Using the dark gray (bottom right corner) form a sideways V along your crease and corner of the each eye, and blend with a clean shadow brush.

No look is complete without a fabulous set of lashes. For this look we used a set of the Ardell Self Adhesive Demi Wispies. These are so great because you don’t have to worry about any potential glue messes.

For a super glossy and opaque pink lip, swipe on a layer of Femme Couture Color Drench Liquid Lipstick in Liquid Rose. This lipstick has staying power without being sticky or drying out lips.

This fall look is all about a pretty pout that pops. Eyes are kept soft and neutral, so the raspberry lipstick can do all the talking.

The Palladio Silk FX Eyeshadow Palettes take the guesswork out and makes application a breeze. For this look, we used the A La Mode palette.

Apply the “all over base” shade across the entire eyelid.

Using the “liner” shade, add a swipe along the crease.

Deepen the color by smudging a bit of the “crease” shade in the outer corners.

Blend the two darker colors with a clean shadow brush.

Line lips with Beautique Defining Lip Pencil in Currant. The slightly darker shade of this pencil will create a nice ombre effect, and keep lipstick from feathering.

Hello lovelies! Lauren here from Vandi Fair. While I’m no beauty expert, I’m often asked for tutorials on how I apply my eye makeup, so I’m going to share my first-ever makeup tutorial right here on the Sally Beauty Blog.

There’s something about a dramatic eye that just feels instantly glamorous. Whether you’re dressed up for a night on the town or are just wearing a t-shirt and jeans, this eye makeup tutorial is perfect for any occasion, and I happen to use it everyday.

STEP 1 – Apply an eye primer, such as Femme Couture Flawless Touch Eye Primer from Sally Beauty. This will ensure that your shadow and liner stays on all day.

STEP 3 – Starting just below your brow bone in the crease of your eye and about half way to your eyebrow, apply the slightly darker shade from the Eyeshadow Quad with the larger eye shadow brush.

STEP 4 – Right in the crease of your eye, apply a small wedge of the darkest shade from the Eyeshadow Quad with the small eye shadow brush, then use the larger brush to slightly blend.

STEP 5 – Using a liquid eyeliner like Palladio Herbal Liquid Eyeliner in black, apply a thin line at the edge of your lids, then slightly draw a curved line outwards to form wings on each side of your eye.

STEP 6 – Using a lengthening and conditioning mascara Femme Couture Long Lash Mascara like apply a thick coat of mascara to complete the dramatic eye effect.

STEP 7 – Finish the look with a nude lipstick to accent the natural color of your lips like Palladio Dreamy Matte Lipstick in Lady Rose, but for night try a bright color lipstick for extra drama.

It seems like there’s nothing in the world that’s more important than getting your look on fleek for the first day back to school. What about the other days? Here’s a list of locker-sized essentials to keep your face, hair and nails looking fab all year.

Freshening up your look between classes is totally doable when you focus on the right areas. Give yourself a quick sweep of Sally Girl Mini Mascara in Jet Black for eyes that pop. Then brush on a shiny shade from the Mini Lip Gloss Wand, and beam bright as you strut from class to class.

We all have this problem—you spend too much time curling your hair only to have it fall flat within a few hours. Yep, been there, done that. Make sure you have a hair pick-me-up so your look is on point all the way through last period. In just a minute or two, the Plugged In Tourmaline Mini Curling Iron can take your hair from flat to all-that with just a few twists. Make sure you brush it out with the Sally Girl Folding Pop-Up Travel Brush for that, “I woke up like this” hair.

Handling stress and heavy books all day can wreak havoc on your nails. From chips to breaks, be prepared for any dilemma. The Beauty Secrets Mini Mani Kit includes nail clipper, scissors, tweezers and a file—it’s the perfect way to stay polished when you have a nail situation at school. In case of emergencies, keep your locker stocked with Sally Girl Mini Nail Color for any unexpected touchups.

August is a time of transition for me. After months of fun in the sun, it’s time to move into the fall season—and that means examining the damage I’ve done. From dry skin and split ends, to needing a chic fall look transition, everything must be assessed in August. Luckily, at Sally Beauty I can get everything I need to repair my look, all with products under $10 each.

From sun-drenched beaches to the chlorine-filled pool, baking my hair until it’s completely dried out is not a good look. Thankfully Ion Swimmer’s Leave-In Conditioner exists. A few spritzes protects my tresses from the long-term effects of sun and water damage, while totally obliterating the dreaded swimmer’s green.

I love fall and cooler temps because I can let down my thick mane. However, that’s when I discover the damage from the easy, breezy ponytail I’ve rocked during the hottest months of the year. No problem! I just turn to my favorite go-to, One ‘N Only Argan Oil Treatment. It smoothes down my frizz and deeply conditions my compromised locks. Essential fatty acids, Omega 6 and Vitamin E let me know it’s up for the challenge of bringing back my favorite sleek look.

A hot shower with the fresh scent of tea tree seems to wash all my worries away. Along with its distinctly invigorating scent, Generic Value Products Tea Tree Oil Shampoo Compare To Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo enlists high doses of conditioners and moisturizers to bring my hair back to life. And I love how its leaves my scalp tingly and clean—the perfect way to wash the summer damage away.

Coming off a summer of easy hairstyles and light makeup, there’s nothing more fun than bringing back a little drama to my look. My first move is to amp up the volume of my lashes. I’ve tried countless mascaras and they can all be improved with the Femme Couture Monster Lash Mascara Primer. Not only does it help mascara last longer but it separates the lashes—giving them a bigger, fuller look.

If you’re like me and want your eyes to pop, you’ll love the dramatic transition you get from Real Colors Whip Lash Mascara. This longwearing formula nourishes lashes for a beautiful fall look, while the cool applicator adds length and creates volume.

Warm up your color palette and put bold, beautiful colors back on the roster for fall style. I gravitate towards rich, earthy colors with golden overtones. The Palladio Herbal Baked Eye Shadow Trio is perfect because of the warm colors and gold accents that are so easy to blend. The best part is I don’t have to worry about the feared fade, because each shade is baked on an Italian terra-cotta disk that guarantee luscious, long lasting colors.

Even though I drink my weight in water during the summer months, I’ve never been able to stay hydrated enough to beat the chapped-lip blues. That is, until I stumbled upon Femme Couture Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour. I get twice the benefit with this lip color that serves as a double agent in the beauty and hydrating departments. The extra-creamy formula is lightweight and leaves my lips smooth and moisturized. Fabulous Fuschia is my go-to shade for a night out, while Nude Kiss is my everyday fave.

When I go out at night, I want my look to be on point. The bright shade of Palladio Herbal Lipstick draws attention, while the rich, creamy coverage keeps the fine lines at bay. It comes in must-have colors, and contains major moisture to keep my lips from drying out.

Nothing finishes off a perfectly put-together look than fresh polish. Bring high shine to your nails while cranking up the color with Fingerpaints. They come in several eye-catching colors and have a one-coat application, perfect for any on-the-go girl.

From sun-bathing to too much time in sand and chlorine, my skin really feels the effects of summer. Luckily, I found the cure for scaly skin. I use Body Drench Original Moisturizing Lotion from head to toe to fight back against summer damage. The botanical extracts and much-needed vitamins soak in, and I can see the extreme moisture going to work—leaving me with softer, healthy-looking skin.

Hello lovelies! Lauren here – fashion blogger and color addict behind the little blog, Vandi Fair. As a blogger who celebrates color, lipstick is undoubtedly my favorite part of applying my make-up. Whether to complement a color I’m wearing or add a pop to a neutral look, I wear it everyday (except for those yoga-pants-all-day kind of days). It’s hard to believe that there was a time not long ago when lipstick, especially the bright ones, frightened me. Blame it on the big-hair-blue-eye shadow-sky-high-hair photos of my mother from the 80’s, but I just avoided the stuff altogether and opted for neutral glosses. Once I started working in the real world, however, I traded my sticky lip gloss for a collection of fresh, vivid lipsticks and never turned back.

I had the pleasure of perusing my local Sally Beauty and picking out my favorite lipsticks for the summer so I could share them with you all. I narrowed it down to six sumptuous shades that I absolutely love, and styled each of them with a look so you can get some ideas on how to wear bold, bright lipstick this summer season.

To say I’m obsessed with powder pink this season would be an understatement. I had to find a lipstick that created that soft, feminine hue and Palladio herbal Lipstick in Petal Pink delivered. I fell in love with this lipstick the second I took off the cap—it smells just like cotton candy and goes on smooth, with a moisturizing effect. Just one coat provides a visible light pink tint with a hint of a luminous shimmer. I styled it to bring out the light pink petal print in this teal maxi dress and it is the perfect finishing touch.

This luscious color is, in a word, classic. Having a go-to red lipstick is essential for every season, and the Femme Couture Shiny Color Crown in Cherry is the perfect candidate. This lip shade goes on so smooth with the feeling of a lip balm and the finish of a gloss. It’s definitely one you’ll want to keep in your purse because it will need to be re-applied every few hours, but the creamy, moisturizing feeling makes it well worth it. I paired a classic look to go with this timeless lip color. Red accents navy and yellow effortlessly and adds to the sweet, 1950’s-feel of the dress.

This lipstick is the perfect mix of pink and coral with a subtle shimmer. Since it’s not too far-off from natural lip color, it’s a great choice to spice up a casual outfit. What’s even better–the subtle shimmer of the lipstick twinkles even more in the sunlight. I styled it with a colorful summer weekend look to give it that extra color pop.

This lipstick is the brightest, most beautiful shade of poppy red that I’ve ever seen. Although it’s called coral, it’s more of an orange-meets-red hue in my book. It goes on bright and smooth with just one application and is perfect for adding some zest to a little black dress or for accentuating color, like I did. I paired it with a vivid orange and pink color block dress to continue the bright color story.

Femme Couture Glossy Prime Wear Long Lasting Lip Cream in Pink Sizzle

This pretty shade is more fuchsia than it is pink and I absolutely love it. It goes on with just the right amount of shine and is the ultimate statement shade. I paired it with red flowy pants to bring out the purple-pink flowers in the print and add an unexpected touch of color against the crisp white top.

This bright shade had me at flamingo. The skinny lipstick goes on easy and has a hot pink matte finish that lasts for hours. I absolutely love this lipstick and have a feeling it will be one of my go-to’s this summer. I paired it with a playful printed navy off-shoulder dress to bring out the bright pink flamingo print.
